Music In Me – Early Childhood Music Classes

MUSIC CLASSES for kids ages 0-5

Bring your little ones to Sense & Color School of Music on Tuesday mornings for a playful,  joy-filled, child-centered musical adventure!

We offer two sessions on Tuesdays to ensure the perfect amount of developmentally appropriate fun:

  • 10:00 - 10:45am: Ages 0-3 years
  • 11:00 - 11:45am: Ages 3-5 years

Note: 3 year-olds may attend either class, depending on their current developmental level.

In each session, we'll explore musical concepts through hands-on, interactive, musical play, using instruments, sensory props, simple songs and dances, and children’s literature. With the enthusiastic participation of parents and caregivers, ALL children can become confident movers and music makers!

Your first session is FREE - just call or email us for a code to book your first lesson at no cost. After that, sessions are $15 each, or you can save money with our monthly enrollment.

Monthly Enrollment

Our best value! For just $45/month, come to as many Music in Me sessions as you like. The four weeks not included in the schedule are:

  • Thanksgiving week
  • Christmas week
  • Spring Break week (LISD calendar)
  • 4th of July week

Some months will have five sessions, some will have four, and some will have three, but the monthly amount stays the same year-round, keeping accounting simple for everybody.

NO CONTRACTS REQUIRED! Enroll for only as many months as you like. We offer a 5% discount for families with multiple students at our school, between the bands, private lessons, and early childhood classes.

One-Time Sign Up Fee

There's a $39 registration fee per family upon enrollment (one-time fee, not annual). If you already paid this for another student, you do not need to pay this again!

To enroll and reserve a spot in our Music in Me classes, email the office or call us at 512-915-9800. A credit card on file is required for monthly invoicing.

A NOTE FROM THE TEACHER

Sarah Kumengi, Voice and Early Childhood Music Teacher

It has been a long-time dream of mine to teach this class - thank you for joining me on this musical adventure! Frequent musical experiences in the formative years are some of the greatest gifts you can give your child. I will be leading you and your little one using a combination of the research-based, internationally acclaimed First Steps in Music curriculum of Dr. John M. Feierabend, as well as elements from the renowned Suzuki Early Childhood Music curriculum and activities from my six years of experience as an elementary school music teacher.

Sarah Kumengi brings a wealth of experience, having taught K-5 elementary music in Georgetown ISD, and conducting afterschool choir and percussion ensembles. She also spent a number of years at the Georgetown Palace Theater as a performer and vocal director for numerous musicals, and is extremely passionate about music in early childhood.

Save Money With the Monthly Plan!

If you’re taking hour lessons, or more than one lesson per week (either one student or multiple family members), you’ll save money by switching to the monthly invoicing plan!
