Music In Me – Early Childhood Music Classes

MUSIC CLASSES for kids ages 0-5

Bring your little ones to Sense & Color School of Music on Saturday mornings for a playful,  joy-filled, child-centered musical adventure!

  • 10:00 - 10:45am Saturdays: Ages 0-5 years

We'll explore musical concepts through hands-on, interactive, musical play, using instruments, props, simple songs and dances, and children’s literature. With the enthusiastic participation of parents and caregivers, ALL children can become confident movers and music makers!

Your first session is FREE - just call, text, or email us to sign up for your first session at no cost! Class sizes are small, so we cannot accept walk-ins without prior registration.

10-Week Sessions for $100

Music in Me classes are grouped into ten-week sessions, which lets the children get to know each other and build each week on songs and activities they already know.

You can request a first free session at any time, and if there's open space, students can start in the middle of a ten-week session at a pro-rated rate of $12 per class. Students who purchase the full ten-week session before it starts pay only $100 for the full ten weeks!

Each ten-week session will begin right after the last one ends. Since this is a group class, there are no makeups for student absences. If the teacher is out for any reason or the ten weeks spans a school vacation week, we will extend the session by an extra week.

Sarah Kumengi, Voice and Early Childhood Music Teacher

It has been a long-time dream of mine to teach this class - thank you for joining me on this musical adventure! Frequent musical experiences in the formative years are some of the greatest gifts you can give your child. I will be leading you and your little one using a combination of the research-based, internationally acclaimed First Steps in Music curriculum of Dr. John M. Feierabend, as well as elements from the renowned Suzuki Early Childhood Music curriculum and activities from my six years of experience as an elementary school music teacher.

Sarah Kumengi brings a wealth of experience, having taught K-5 elementary music in Georgetown ISD, and conducting afterschool choir and percussion ensembles. She also spent a number of years at the Georgetown Palace Theater as a performer and vocal director for numerous musicals, and is extremely passionate about music in early childhood.
