Preferred Vendors

Wedding planning can be stressful without the right people on your side! Here is a list of some recommended wedding vendors we know and have worked with personally.

Cakes

Krissy’s Cakes
At the 2010 June bridal show, we fell for Krissy’s Cakes right away and booked her on the spot for our own wedding cupcakes (in five superb flavors!). She accommodated several tasting sessions ahead of time, customized flavors to order, and delivered on time. We HIGHLY recommend Krissy’s.

DJs

Look No Further Entertainment
Ross and Laura are one of the nicest couples you’ll ever meet, and great at what they do. They’re professional, fun, organized, and hard to nail down as they have so many wedding requests! If you need a DJ, talk to them EARLY, as they book up very far in advance.

High Velocity DJ
Matt is a professional in every sense of the word – punctual, reliable and puts on a great show. We look forward to our opportunities to work with him, and employed his sound services at our own wedding!

Bands

A Live One
People tend to either hate or love Phish. If you love them, why not bring them to your wedding? A Live One is an Austin-based Phish tribute band that’s melting faces all over Central Texas, and carries enough of a punch to pack any dance floor. The bassist is also an owner of Sense and Color, so we can talk lighting packages (after all, it’s not Phish without a good light show).

Venues

FountainGlenn Event Center
We’ve known Jack, owner of FountainGlenn, for years, and he knows weddings! For the bride on a budget, FountainGlenn features indoor and outdoor options for ceremonies and receptions in Leander, just northwest of Austin.

Vintage Villas
The layout at Vintage Villas is tailor-made for weddings, with a lovely outdoor arbor for ceremonies, a small ballroom for dancing that’s just the perfect shape and size for uplighting, and a dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto Lake Travis. And don’t forget comfortable rooms for the wedding party, right on site!

Videography

2nd Generation Video Productions
This husband and wife team is another group we very much enjoy working with, and they’ll be some of the first to tell you how big a difference good lighting can make in a wedding video!
